Julie grew up in Hubertus, Wisconsin, and now resides in Jackson. She graduated from Waukesha County Technical College with an associate degree in Retail Marketing. During college, she was an active member of DECA, served on her college DECA board and competed and placed at both the state and national collegiate levels.
Julie began her career with Unisource Insurance in 1991 and is licensed in Property, Casualty, Life, and Health insurance. In 2006, she earned her Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation.
In May 2010, she was recognized in Milwaukee Magazine for achieving the highest overall customer satisfaction in the Home and Auto Insurance category. In May 2024, she was honored with the Mary Morrison CSR of the Year Award by the Independent Insurance Agents of Wisconsin.
Julie has been married to William Bartelt Jr. since 1988. She is the proud mother of two adult children, a grandmother to one granddaughter, and dog mom to a lively five‑year‑old Siberian Husky who keeps her on her toes.
She enjoys giving back to her community by volunteering at her church, Festa Italiana, and the Taste of Italy event. Julie also served as President of her Condo Association for more than five years.
Her hobbies include reading, playing the piano, bowling, golfing, tackling home improvement projects, and spending quality time with family and friends. She lives by the motto: “Be the reason someone smiles today.”
