Be part of the A-Team Fun Walk for Autism!

Happening this Sunday (September 8^th, 2019) at Greenfield Park, A-Team Fun Walk is back! All residents of south-eastern Wisconsin (and beyond!) are encouraged to attend this great event to raise awareness about autism and how it impacts people.

A-Team Fun Walk, formerly known as Dylan’s Run, was first created to build awareness about autism in the Milwaukee area and to generate funds for autism research and outreach programs. When the first event was hosted in 2001, the rate of autism was 1 out of 500 children. In 2018, that figure has now become 1 in 59 children. As a result, the number of families needing support is growing. Fundraising is one of the key ways that you can provide support to all that are affected by autism. By participating in A-Team Fun Walk, you can feel rest assured that the funds go to help neighbors, schools, and the entire community. Every cent raised stays in south-eastern Wisconsin, too!

There are a couple of ways that you can get involved in the A-Team Fun Walk for Autism event this Sunday!

• Register to participate. Registration is free, although donations are accepted. All adults will register and will be issued individual fundraising pages to personalize and track donations.
• Register to volunteer. The event is only made possible because of generous volunteers! There are several different time shifts to choose from.
• All of the money is put back into the local community to support family services. The Autism Society affiliate network has a 50-year history of heritage and heart by being the nation’s grassroots network advocating endlessly for better services, access to diagnostic and therapy teams and funding for education and training.
