For those who are diligent readers of our blog, you are probably familiar with the team we put together for Dylan’s Run, an event that was focused on raising autism awareness!
One of our own team members has a daughter who was diagnosed with autism. We ran to show our support for the Brunner-Nelson family. In their daughter’s honor, we named the team Lovely Lila’s Legion! The run took place on Sunday, September 7th at Summerfest Grounds in Milwaukee.
Dylan’s Run was sponsored by the Autism Society of Southeastern Wisconsin. This society aims to help make life easier for the families of individuals who are diagnosed with autism. For the past couple of months, we have been asking our readers to sign up to be a part of our team, or contribute financially through a donation. We had set a goal to raise $1,000 for autism awareness ourselves, and help the run meet its overall goal of raising $110,000 .
It is because of you that we were able to not only meet our goal, but also surpass it! We actually raised closer to $125,000! We would like to take this opportunity to say a huge “thank you!” to each and every person who donated time or money for the run! We cannot express our appreciation enough! Thank you for supporting a great cause.
